Spelling Bee Success at RQA

Excitement filled the air as RQA proudly joined the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee this year. What began as friendly classroom competitions quickly grew into a campus-wide celebration of vocabulary, confidence, and academic excellence.

Students first competed in Classroom Bees, where top spellers earned the opportunity to advance to the School Spelling Bee. From Grades 1 through 8, 23 outstanding students qualified to compete in our school-wide event — each demonstrating focus, preparation, and remarkable poise.

Our school champions will now advance to the regional competition, representing RQA alongside other private and parochial schools across Texas. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and courage in taking on this challenge.

The Spelling Bee is more than just letters and words — it builds perseverance, sharpens language skills, and strengthens public speaking confidence. Watching our students rise to the occasion has been truly inspiring.
