Fun-Filled Dirasat Islamiyah

At RQA, our Deeniyat classes go beyond textbooks! While students build a strong foundation in Islamic studies, they also develop life skills in engaging and interactive ways.

From Arabic and Lisan al-Dawat typing to memorizing and practicing duas, our students learn through fun, hands-on games that make learning meaningful and enjoyable. These activities not only reinforce their knowledge but also build a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Screening for Success

At RQA, we believe that a healthy student is a successful student! Recently, all of our students received eye and ear checkups to ensure their well-being and support their learning.

Regular eye and ear screenings are essential for detecting potential issues that could affect a child’s ability to focus, participate, and thrive in the classroom. By taking these preventive steps, we are promoting not only academic success but also a healthy lifestyle for every student.

Our school community is committed to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. These checkups are just one way we ensure that our students have the tools and support they need to see clearly, hear well, and learn with confidence.

Honoring Our Heroes

Today, our students gathered with pride and unity to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Dressed in red, white, and blue, they stood together as the entire school recited the Pledge of Allegiance — beautifully led by our first graders!

As part of their Social Studies lessons, our first graders have been learning about patriotism, national symbols, and the importance of showing gratitude to those who protect our freedoms. Their understanding and enthusiasm shone brightly as they guided the school through the pledge with confidence and respect.

Veterans Day at RQA was a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many and the importance of teaching our young learners to appreciate and honor our nation’s heroes.

Mystery Reader

Mystery Reader Moments at RQA! Our Mystery Reader Program continues to fill our classrooms with excitement and joy!

Through the year, parents surprise our 1st–3rd Graders by stepping in to read a story – making books come alive and creating lasting memories.

At RQA, we believe that when parents actively participate in their child’s learning, the impact goes far beyond the classroom – it nurtures confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning.

Together we build a community where children see that learning is shared, valued, and celebrated – the RQA way!

Tie and Dye

Tie and Dye Time! Our students from Grades 3 to 8 took part in a creative tie-and-dye session where they learned to mix colors, create patterns, and express their imagination through fabric art.

They discovered how combining two shades can create new ones, and the process taught them focus, care, and appreciation for art.

They also reflected on how, just as colors blend to form beauty, unity and cooperation bring harmony to our lives.

Overall, it was a joyful and meaningful activity that combined fun, learning, and spiritual reflection—helping our little artists see art as a form of both creativity and gratitude.

Stars and Stripes

Learning About the Stars and Stripes — Indoors & Out on Election Day!

This Election Tuesday, our first graders celebrated learning, curiosity, and citizenship by exploring the meaning of the American flag — both in the classroom and outdoors!

Through stories, art, and outdoor discussions, students discovered what each star and stripe represents, and how the flag stands for unity, respect, and responsibility.

At RQA, we nurture an understanding that good citizenship — whether in our school, community, or nation — is part of living the values our faith teaches us: respect, gratitude, and harmony. As our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “حب الوطن من الإيمان” — Love for one’s homeland is part of faith.

It was a perfect day to connect what’s happening in our nation with hands-on learning right here at RQA — reminding our students that understanding the symbols of our country helps build appreciation, community, and pride, while grounding them in values that reflect both deen and duniya.
